Baby Yoga

Baby Yoga provides babies with physical and mental stimulation through a variety of gentle exercises and movements. Parents also practice gentle yoga stretches too which can help the body recover after birth. Yoga helps balance the body and mind and can help boost circulation and digestion, strengthen joints and muscles, and encourage removal of waste and toxins in the body.

Rowan Perkin’s classes provide a great opportunity for parents and babies to bond in a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. As well as helping both mum/dad and baby to relax, the exercises also encourage babies to become more aware of their bodies, whilst encouraging parents to have confidence in handling their baby.

Baby Yoga may also help soothe sleep problems and colic, whilst aiding digestion. Other benefits include enhanced muscular coordination and general development.

The classes are a sensory experience and based around movement, rhythm and song. This means that Baby Yoga is not only fun but can also be incorporated into daily activities for both playtime and relaxation. Baby Yoga is a perfect follow on from Baby Massage.

Rowan Perkin’s Baby Yoga Courses take place in and around Surrey. Private classes are also available for NCT groups, which take place in the comfort of your own home.

Courses take place over four weeks, you are required to pre book your course.
